  Mission Statement
The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.

Manyangalo community

This is a heterogeneous community owning around 370 acres and are about to subdivide the land for better use. The community suffers quite high levels of poverty and faces a big challenge in terms of living standards and social welfares.

Our biggest challenge in Lewa is that the community is our immediate neighbours and the community is in constant request for assistance in all development spheres.

In conjunction with other stakeholders we have help the community to establish a water project design and we are looking for funds to have an irrigation water project that will help the community which has a very fertile land that can hold mass production in terms of subsistence and horticultural production.

We hope the community after the installation of the water project the level of farming will improve.

Fortunately, we are in close discussion with several horticultural companies to facilitate contractual farming with the farmers, who we will be willing, this being echoed by conducting lots of Lots of training on leadership crop production and export farming.

However the community is a beneficiary of the other community development components such as education, healthy care, and micro credit.
