Lewa House

Lewa House - an exclusive safari destination on Lewa.

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy re-invests all the profits generated from tourism into our core programmes. By staying in any one of our three properties you will help thousands of dedicated people from different backgrounds and cultures to improve their lives, give their children a future whilst at the same time ensuring Africa’s wildlife has a home and future. Through Lewa’s community programme these communities are able to access clean drinking water, affordable health care services and an education for their children. In this way a visit to Lewa is not only a memorable holiday but a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a difference.

Lewa House overlooks the luggas (valleys) and hills, with the horizon rising to the eye-catching views of the Mathews range and the sacred mountain of the Samburu, Ol Lolokwe.

The property has a main building with a lounge and dining area, opening up to the charmingly furnished stretch veranda with its own special vista across the plains of Northern Kenya. A short walk away there are three large cottages each with a double and a twin room, making the property suitable for up to twelve people.

Lewa House beds. All the cottages have en-suite bathrooms plus a private veranda where guests can sit in the cool of the evening to enjoy the starlit African skies. A large swimming pool overlooking the waterhole with a thatched bar area for those all important sundowners are also yours to enjoy at Lewa House. Eating and relaxing takes place in the spacious lounge and dining areas with comfortable sofas, an open fire, fresh flowers, paintings, carvings and piles of coffee table books to read.

Lewa House is booked on an exclusive basis so guests can enjoy the wide array of birds and wildlife and feel home away from home!
