  Mission Statement
The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.
Communities around Lewa.

Community health care programme.

In Lewa we have a well equipped clinic that meets the high demand of the health services from the large community populations. In this part of the country the nearest hospitals are either in Isiolo or Meru towns which are approximately 30 Kms away. Most communities used to have a lot of problems in accessing these services due to distances and high costs of travelling and medical services in these hospitals.

Hence when Lewa’s clinic was put in place it shouldered almost 90% of the community people healthy care needs. The clinic has the following facilities:

  • Consulting room
  • Treatment room
  • Laboratory
  • Store.
