  Mission Statement
The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.

MAJOR PROJECTS

The following comprise some of the main projects that the Programme hopes to achieve between 2005 and 2009.

Primary School Support

Each of the seven primary schools have, in conjunction with the Lewa Education Programme, compiled a five-year primary school development plan to improve their schools' infrastructure, the curriculum and teaching / learning methods. The aim is to provide conducive learning and teaching environments for both the pupils and the teachers.

NOTE:
The Projects in Green are those that LEP was bale to achieve through the annual Safaricom Marathon and other individual donors funding in year 1 ( 2005 ) to year 4 (2008 ).

Each school, every year includes evaluations and tests as part of the planned activities.
